Enterprise Router

Enterprise Router is able to connect multiple Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) with your on-premises networks via Direct Connect or Virtual Private Network (VPN) to build a central hub network.

It uses the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to learn routes dynamically and select or switch between connections. Enterprise Router helps to improve network scalability, operations and management efficiency and service continuity.

You can attach all of your network resources, such as VPCs, VPN Gateways and Direct Connect Virtual Gateways, to an Enterprise Router, which learns routes dynamically. No manual configuration will be needed.

BGP enables flexible switchover between active and standby connections. The load is balanced among Direct Connect and VPN connections, which are able to back up one another.

Enterprise Router is able to divert traffic to cloud- or third-party firewalls.

Attach all your VPCs to an Enterprise Router with just a few clicks, allowing them all to communicate with one another.

If you have more than one Direct Connect connection or have both a Direct Connect connection and a VPN connection, you can make these connections to work in active/standby or load balancing mode to improve service reliability.

Share your own Enterprise Routers with other accounts. You can allow other accounts to use your Enterprise Router and their private lines to access the cloud.
