The Document Database Service now supports Backup Encryption. For all existing instances that have been created with Disk Encryption, an encrypted backup is now created for any type of manual or automatic backup task.
With the introduction of DDS 4.4 Version following partial features from MongoDB 4.4 will be compatible.

From now on, after deleting a Document Database instance, a single backup will be automatically triggered and is based on the current state before the deletion process started and the backup is then stored in the Recycle Bin. All backups will then be deleted.
