Data warehouses are consolidated databases fed from different sources. These sources usually include databases run by various departments of a company. In the data warehouse, the data from the various source databases are consolidated in a standard format and data model, making it possible to analyze data from different sources.
In these release notes the following new features are introduced:
- Use Flink to connect to DNs of a DWS cluster for faster data import. In the meaning Flink can directly connect to multiple DNs in a DWS cluster, enabling concurrent data writing.
- Enhance database O&M monitoring capability as follow:
- DWS offers SQL load analysis, including diagnosing historical top SQL statements and their execution plans.
- DWS can diagnose table indexes and use DDL audit to check the number of distribution keys.
- DWS supports query insight.
The following features were updated:
- Dump audit logs to an object bucket of a non-current tenant. The audit logs can be dumped to a bucket of another user as long as the write permissions are met.
- Display the user lock status on the page to facilitate association of a resource pool with users. A resource pool cannot be associated with locked users. In earlier versions, available users can only be manually queried in the database and then filtered one by one. This feature directly displays the user lock status on the page, avoiding manual filtering and improving experience.
- Optimize user management: the message displayed for deleting a user is optimized. The administrator can view the table objects associated with users.
