In this context, tag management services offer a comprehensive insight into resource utilization and help distribute costs proportionally according to usage. As such, companies gain full transparency over who used which services, for which project, and to what extent. This also enables internal cost allocation.
Cloud Eye and Price Online Display are basic functions that help make cloud usage transparent and cost-efficient for users. The Tag Management Service (TMS) provides an additional component in this category, as it enables administrators to issue up to ten different tags for individual resources. The corresponding resources are then highlighted and can be assigned to certain topics, such as departments or development projects. It can be used for all listed services, both via the console and automatically by means of the API. The tags can also be derived from external services such as LDAP systems. In addition, analyses can be performed using these individually assigned tags in the Financial Dashboard. The Tag Management Service is free of charge.
